before dinner and waiting for the latecomers, the
"Catering Ya" will give us some
aperitifs for starters.
21:00 hours:
"KABILA'S DINNER".
This year we change our ways.
As we have rented a "jaima", because it's been impossible to finish the repairs in
our headquarters, we will have dinner at "The Cave".
The famous "Catering Ya" from Aspe, will serve
us a delicious dinner. For starters bread with oil tomato and ali-oli, parma ham and
cheese, Iberian mixed, squid with sauce, garlic mushrooms and special salad. For the
main course roast lamb with garnish or grilled "dorada" (local fish) with garnish.
For dessert cup of ice-cream. Coffee and brandy.
Children will have the same starters and dessert, but for the main course they could
have either hamburger or scallop.
For this dinner is required a formal "fiesta"
dress!
2 days before, for this dinner,
everybody that want to come have to choose
between meat or fish. You can do this in two different ways, the traditional, telling
Fina at the news-agent's, or the modern way, sending an e-mail to:

At the end of the Silver Jairi Ceremony, and after a few drinks we'll go down
all together, dancing an arabian march, to the Town Hall Square, to meet
at 01:30 hours:
THE "BIG CONCENTRATION OF KABILAS AND MESNADAS"
where the 2006 "Fiesta" will be open with a big Castle of Fireworks.
After the "fiesta" inauguration we will walk through the streets of the town showing
off our Jairi pride.
Saturday, 22nd of April - 2006
13:00 hours:
"MEDIEVAL MARKET",
this year we'll have a Medieval Market that will be in Abanilla from the 22nd
until the 23rd in the night. There will be all kind of shows and stands for adults
and kids.
18:00 hours:
"2006 DRAWING CONTEST AWARDS",
at the "Plaza de la Purísima", in the middle of the Market, the winners of
the 2006 Drawing Contest will get their prizes. There will be also a theater and
something to eat for all the kids.
19:30 hours:
"OPENING OF THE CAVE"
for something to eat with a few cold beers and other refreshments.
After that we'll go with our representatives to the Auditorium for the Presentation
of the 2006 High Ranks.
21:00 hours:
"PRESENTATION OF THE HIGH RANKS",
this is a new act that the Federation and the Brotherhood, with the
collaboration of the Town Hall, are preparing to presents this year High Ranks: Queens,
Ladies and Captains. At the same time, the Presidents of the Federation and the
Brotherhood will get the Keys of the Town. It will be at the Auditorium and the
Federation is asking for the collaboration of all the kabilas and mesnadas in this
act, specifically they are asking us to send two members as representatives with
the Jaira Pennant.
23:00 hours:
"DRINKS",
our headquarters will be open for all the members that want to enjoy themselves
in a comradeship atmosphere.

"MEDIEVAL MARKET",
medieval atmosphere with street shows, falconry, workshops, street bars, …
a day to enjoy yourselves with the kids.
14:30 hours:
"RICE AND RABBIT",
the famous cook known in the region as
"Dońa Concha" will cook for us a delicious
rice with rabbit and escargots. The waiter service and the cleaning will be cover
by two waiters that we'll hire, but in the food preparation we all need to collaborate,
specially those who want to learn the making of a "Rice and Rabbit" unique in the
world.
Friday, 28th of April - 2006
22:00 hours:
"BIG MEDIEVAL DINNER",
at "Paseo de la Ermita", with medieval atmosphere. The
price of this dinner is 30 € that you can pay at "Fina's news-agent's". The place
is limited to 500 people.
Saturday, 29th of April - 2006
14:30 hours:
"BIG LAMB BARBECUE",
from the famous chef Sadam Joselin,
specially coming from the Vinalopó lands for the occasion. The waiter service
and the cleaning will be cover by two waiters that we'll hire, but in the food
preparation we all need to collaborate.
21:30 hours:
"CROWNING AND PROCLAMATION"
The new Queens and Ladies from Kábila Albayad´Allah and Mesnada Favanella
will be crowned. We've been asked by the Federation, as on the 22nd of April, to
send two representatives of our Kabila with our Pennant, a man and a woman if it's
possible.
Sunday, 30th of April - 2006
12:00 hours:
"BEER TIME",
for the adults and soft drinks for the children, before the Kids Parade, to
get enough strength.
13:00 hours:
"KIDS PARADE".
We'll accompany the wee ones in their Parade. We'll meet at the "Lonja" to
start the Parade that will go through the streets of Abanilla ending at the "Paseo
de la Ermita", where the children will have something to eat to get their strength
back.
14:30 hours:
"VEAL WITH SAUCE",
secret recipe from the well known chef
Valentín López, who will come from the
"L´Alacantí" lands for its preparation. The waiter service
and the cleaning will be cover by two waiters that we'll hire, but in the food
preparation we all need to collaborate.
21:00 hours:
"NON-OFFICIAL PARADE".
Rehearse for the 1st of May. We'll meet at the "Lonja" with all our fancy
dresses to do all the walk to the "Paseo de la Ermita". Any person who wants to
participate with us, even non-members, can do it, so if you've got a friend,
relative, work partner,…, who wants to come with us, he(she) is invited to do
it.
After the Parade,
we'll go up to our Cave for a few drinks and something to it, that two waiters
will give us, so we'll have enough strength for the rest of the night.
Monday, 1st of May - 2006
The Big Parade.
This year the Board of Management would like to ask you to enjoy yourselves, to
show off, to smile all the time,…
and to listen to our Coordinators.

14:00 hours:
"BROTHERHOOD LUNCH",
the "Catering Ya" will prepare for us a
"Rice a Banda". For starters we'll have potatoes, olives, fresh cheese with pepper,
squid meat-balls, fried fish and a salad with cabbage and grated tomato. The main
course for adults and children will be "Rice a Banda" with meat and ali-oli.
For dessert we'll have Caramel Cake. After that: coffee, brandy and a big cigar for
the parade.
18:30 hours:
"TROOPS ORGANIZATION",
last year we didn't have a fine, and we hope that neither this year, to do
that everybody has to collaborate. Every squad corporal will be "responsible" for the
organization of his line and the coordinators will give instructions so the Parade
go as smooth as possible.
We ask maximum collaboration from all the
members.
This year we'll have again a PHOTO-FINISH.
At the end of the Parade we'll meet at the street-lamp of the "replaceta" to
do the OFFICIAL PHOTO OF THE KABILA.
In this photograph will be the same ones as every year, and won't be the same
ones as always. This year for sure !!!
After that we'll go up to the Cave (be careful don't cross the Parade if
it's not finish), to get our strength back with sandwiches and beer. Once we close
the place, everybody still awake and wanting more fun, will go to the Hermitage to
enjoy the Fair.
Tuesday, 2nd of May - 2006

"THE BIG GAZPACHO",
from the famous catering
PEPEDIAZ&CO, who will prepare it
with their usual disposition, with the collaboration of everybody who don't want
to miss this wonderful show. For this day we'll hire two waiters to serve and clean,
but not to prepare the food.
18:00 hours:
"FLOWER OFFERING TO OUR PATRON THE SAINT CROSS".
This is a very important act, because it's the end of the "Moros y Cristianos
Fiesta" and the beginning of our worship to the Saint Cross, the only moment where
both "fiestas" are together. That's why the Board of Management ask the participation
of all the members.
Wednesday, 3rd of May - 2006
Saint Cross' Pilgrimage.
08:00 hours:
"PLIGRIMAGE".
We give you the same recommendations as every year, though we know that nobody
is going to listen to them: Don't drink too much (difficult), don't do stupid things
(impossible), don't put too much gunpowder in the muskets (he, he, he,...!), leave
alone the foreigner girls (come on!), check the blunder busses (I suppose my father
have done it already), etc.
LONG LIFE TO THE SAINT CROSS !!!
IMPORTANT NOTICE:
We want to remember the ones with guns that the insurance we pay to the
Federation is more than enough to cover this day, so you don't need to pay another
one for the same concept to the "Saint Cross Brotherhood".
Thursday, 4th of May - 2006
14:30 hours:
"GASTRONOMIC SPA",
to get the strength back and to repair the excesses from the day before, our
Vice-president will prepare a hot soup with meat-ball. It's a free food in which
will collaborate everybody that can and is there. Everybody that wants to go up to
"The Cave", to taste this restoring soup, won't have to pay, we'll call it an open
doors day, but don't get use to it.
Friday, 5th of May - 2006
22:30 hours:
this year without a rest: opening of the cave to talk about the excesses of
the "fiestas" with more excesses
("DRINKS")
and about how bad we are because we haven't had time enough to recuperate and
start again with more "fiesta".
Saturday, 6th of May - 2006
14:30 hours:
"CHICKEN A L´AST",
some "tapas" before we start eating the roast chicken that we'll get from
the square. This day we'll hire two waiters to do the serving and cleaning.
23:00 hours:
"THE LAST BATTLE".
Giving no respite, we'll organize our troops and stroking hard with our music
band we'll leave our headquarters to storm the fortresses of Favanella and
Albayad´Allah. The survivors will go to the doors of the Hermitage to enjoy the last
Fair of the "Fiestas".
Sunday, 7th of May - 2006
14:30 hours:
"CLOSING OF THE ENCAMPMENT",
we'll eat whatever is left, it'll be served by whoever can and wants, and
it'll be eaten by whoever is there.
18:00 hours:
"OCTAVE PROCESSION", TRIBUTE TO THE PATRON,
get your muskets and blunder busses ready and say good-bye to the Patron as
it deserves.

this year we're going to have tickets for non-members. Any member who wants
to bring a friend for any day will need to get and pay a ticket al least 2 days
in advance at Fina's news-agent's.
The price for non-members are 30 € for the 21st of
April and the 1st of May, 16 € for the rest of the days. The 4th of May is an
open doors day, so everybody who wants to go up that day to eat the soup with
meat-ball can do it for free.
